Spencer Ford, a 6-7 forward at Dixie (UT), gave a verbal commitment to LSU during an official visit last weekend.
As a freshman last season on the 30-6 NJCAA Region XVIII champions, Ford averaged 5.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 16 minutes, shooting 47% from the floor, 33% beyond the arc and 65% from the foul line.
Ford, who is from Baton Rouge (LA), also received interest from Miami (FL) and Mississippi State.
