The Marauders (9-13, 2-3) had taken the 68-57 lead with 3:40 left in the game, and actually had three chances to tie the game, two at the free throw line and a last second shot by Deonte Huff, with less than 30 seconds left.
Michael Wilson scored 19 to lead everyone, while Marcus Sikes scored eight and pulled down 11 rebounds.
The Marauders had five players in double figures -- a season high -- with Jovan McIver leading AVC with 14. McIver was four for four from three. Deonte Huff had his lowest scoring total of the season with 13, but led in assists with five as the Eagles' defense on him opened up lay-ups for others on the Marauder squad.
